Where are you from?

I’m originally from Southern California, Orange County area.

Tell us how you got to Maui.

I came out a couple years ago to work for my Aunt & Uncle’s wedding business. That lasted for about a week when I got an opportunity to work on a boat. I’ve been crewing ever since & recently jumped ship to join the sail Maui team!

You’re a young guy, what are your goals?

I take my USCG Captains License test next week! I’d love to drive boats out here & be able to take that skill all over the world.

What do you love about sailing // working for Sail Maui?

My favorite thing about working for Sail Maui is that it feels like you’re out on a friend’s boat. We work hard, but it’s pretty laid back, and the passengers and the crew are all great.

Got any hobbies?

I’m pretty into mountain biking & dirt biking. I try to hit the North Shore forest trails at least once a month.

What do you want our guests to get out of their trip?

I’d really like our guests to leave with a greater appreciation of the ocean. We’re trying to do our part sharing the need for conservation, and part of that is people understanding that their actions on shore have consequences for our marine world.
